Ferran Torres joins PSG from Barcelona in ~€50m move

Ferran Torres has joined PSG from Barcelona on 15 August 2026 for a fee ESPN puts at around €50m, reuniting him with Luis Enrique — a manager he calls "a father figure".

Fee and form

ESPN reports a fee of around €50 million ($57.84m). Torres, 26, leaves Barcelona after scoring 21 times in 49 appearances last season and 19 in 45 the campaign before. He scored the extra-time winner as Spain beat Argentina in the 2026 World Cup final.

Why PSG

Luis Enrique, who coached him with Spain, manages PSG. "I've always said it: for me, Luis Enrique has been like a father figure in the world of football," Torres said. "Today, having the chance to train under his guidance again makes me feel really excited." He added: "It's true that since we won the World Cup, everything has happened very quickly. I'm joining an ambitious team and I need to rise to the challenge."

Not a Premier League deal, but one to watch: PSG and Barcelona are Champions League regulars and may well meet again.
